Amazon Tax Compliance Manager, BR Tax Compliance in PR, Brazil
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Tax Compliance Manager to oversee compliance processes and ensure adherence to the evolving tax regulations in light of Brazil's tax reform. This role is essential to maintaining regulatory compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting the organization's broader tax strategy during this transformative period.
Key job responsibilities
Understand the reform tax compliance details, prepare requirements, address questions from the technical teams, perform tests and sign-off developments.
Working closely with the Tax Planning, Technology, Accounting, and Business teams to ensure the implementation of the tax reform requirements.
Ensure compliance with Brazilian tax regulations, including tax returns impacted by ongoing tax reform.
Maintain clear and constant communication with stakeholders and provide periodic updates to the tax compliance leadership.
Develop and implement internal policies, controls, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on the organization's tax compliance obligations.
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to align compliance efforts with broader business strategies.
Manage and oversee tax filings, payments, and audits, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
Identify compliance risks, propose mitigation strategies, and address issues proactively.
Build and lead a team of tax compliance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex tax laws in a business setting, both in Portuguese and English, including the ability to communicate effectively, participate in daily video conferences, write, and understand emails;
Advanced English
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
