Actalent Clinician Lead in Poughkeepsie, New York

Job Title: Clinician LeadJob Description

  • Responsible for the oversight of all clinical tasks, clinical documentation, and conducting weekly supervision with all Clinicians. - Ensure that case files are organized and saved both electronically and in paper files. - Provide assistance for Clinicians working with the child and the child's family/sponsor, including individual sessions, group sessions, and family sessions. - Be sensitive to and supportive of the children’s cultural and ethnic heritage and values. - Review all assessments, Significant Incident Reports, and other documentation for accuracy prior to submission to any stakeholder and Federal Field Specialist. - Ensure that Clinicians properly close all physical case files upon youth leaving the shelter. - Facilitate the timely provision of services and take the lead on managing mental health crises. - Assist in the development and review of Safety Plans and release recommendations. - Consult with the clinical team and serve as a liaison, psychologist, and psychiatrist as needed. - Perform weekly audits on the program’s active case files (both physical and on the web-based system) to ensure compliance with CHP’s, State, and Federal guidelines. - Pursue continued professional development through attendance at in-service seminars, conferences, workshops, and/or higher education studies. - Attend all mandatory training as scheduled, including but not limited to New Hire Orientation, Sanctuary, TCI certifications, and CPR/First Aid certifications, and complete 40 hours annually of O.R.R (Office of Refugee Resettlement) training. - Adhere to all agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. - Collaborate effectively as a member of the UC staff team.

Hard Skills

  • Masters degree in social work or related field with a license (LCSW)

  • Manager or Supervisor experience in clinical settings related to homelessness, mental health, or substance use

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Work Environment

Monday - Friday, Hours between 9 AM - 6 PM. On call after hours or weekends 1 week/month (not excessive).
