The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is seeking a compassionate and motivated individual for aFinancial Technician- Billeropening at the state-of-the-art Post Falls Veterans Home. The ideal candidate will analyze, research, forecast, and reconcile complex financial documents and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies; attention to detail is a must; performs related work. This position works in a lively business office setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly room and board, pharmacy, patient liability, hospice, Medicaid, and other third-party billings for all payer types.

  • Follow up on any rejected claims, make appropriate, corrections, and resubmit billing claims.

  • Answer billing questions from responsible parties and/or residents.

  • Complete Admits and Discharges Report and send to VA as requested.

  • Complete Weekly Statistics Report and submit to the Central Support Office.

  • Prepare financial information, follow up on missing documents and participate in Medicare Triple Check monthly meetings.

  • Backup for other Business Office staff when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Good Knowledge of:

  • Financial Record Keeping.

Experience:

  • Researching and compiling financial information and preparing summaries and reports.

  • Using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data.

    MQ Specialties:

    Experience:

  • Using MS Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience reviewing and researching an accounts receivable aging report to resolve discrepancies.

  • Experience billing medical entities such as Medicaid; hospice; private and ancillary insurances; and pharmacies.

  • Experience working with Medicare co-insurance and co-payments. Experience with billing monthly services.
