Responsibilities

  • Apply your expertise to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including electric motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment, and plant support machines. This is a hands on physical site based role.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with computers, PLCs, voltage meters, current meters, oscilloscopes, and electrical formulas.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repair of all plant boilers and utility systems, electrical switch gear, motor controls, air compressors, HVAC, PLC control systems, plant water distribution equipment as needed.

  • Document PLC programs

  • Operate boilers (including H20 Chemistry) and utility systems, electrical switch gear, motor controls, air compressors, HVAC, plant water distribution, & PLC control systems.

  • Assist Plant Manager in the maintenance of the plant documentation. Provides red-lines for P&ID's, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, motor index, & instrument index, etc. for any changes being made.

  • Research parts needed for work/repairs and properly utilize the parts inventory and work order systems.

  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance such as screw tightening, component replacement, visual inspection, panel cleaning, panel wiring, wire tracing, and panel documenting.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

  • working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

  • working weekends

Skills

  • Industrial (2 years of experience is required)

  • wiring (2 years of experience is required)

  • Monitoring (2 years of experience is required)

  • Industrial Electrician (3 years of experience is required)

  • Inspection (2 years of experience is required)

  • system evaluations (3 years of experience is required)

  • Blueprints

  • PLC Troubleshooting (3 years of experience is preferred)

  • Diagnostics (4 years of experience is preferred)

  • Schematics (3 years of experience is preferred)

  • Electrical Formulas (4 years of experience is preferred)

  • Pneumatic Systems (4 years of experience is preferred)

  • Production Equipment (3 years of experience is preferred)

  • Electrical Preventative Main. (4 years of experience is preferred)

  • Troubleshoot Control Systems (5 years of experience is preferred)
