Galvion Program Manager IV in Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Galvion designs, develops, and manufactures ballistic helmets and dynamic power and data management solutions for the modern battlefield. THE OPPORTUNITY
The Program Manager will assist the team in overcoming challenges, and ensures the program stays aligned with Galvion's strategic goals. They will lead cross-functional teams, manage project portfolios, and drive the successful execution of programs from initiation to closure.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Collaborate with external customers, engineers, and product managers to pursue agreed upon objectives while tracking, prioritizing, and communicating top issues.
Engage leaders to build project teams, develop work packages, identify, and mitigate risk, and build a concept of operations for program execution and progress monitoring.
Identify and engage stakeholders across Galvion. Tailor and present information to allow informed decision making both technical and programmatic
ยท Facilitate efficient team meetings
Proactively manage cost, schedule, and quality across all aspects of projects and programs.
Manage white papers and proposals, including development of cost and pricing, to support the business development and sales teams to meet customer needs/interests
Facilitate transition from understanding of end-user requirements to a formal system requirements document
Develop and implement methods, tailored to specific projects and programs to define, monitor, and control scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality
Attend industry days, government working groups, customer events, etc. in an externally facing role in support of projects/programs
Provide value added input to the strategic planning process.
Other duties as assigned.
10 years + experience in Program Management.
Demonstrated excellence in leading cross-functional teams and managing product development projects for manufacturing
Understand internal project and program requirements and documentation needs to effectively develop and implement a plan to ensure all deliverables are met.
Use your technical expertise and experience to build a body of knowledge and educate your teammates on the fundamentals and tradeoffs for project development and execution.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
Deep understanding of manufacturing environment and challenges
Lean Manufacturing Certification a plus
Demonstrated negotiating experience
Military experience a plus
Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance
Familiarity with Agile development processes
