The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transporation, Bureau of Bridge Maintenance, has a full-time vacancy for a Lift Bridge Worker I - II.
SUMMARY:
Lift Bridge Worker I:
To perform responsible work in the operating of mechanical and electronic lift bridge gates on the Memorial Bridge, Sarah Mildred Long Bridge, Hampton River Bridge and/or the Little Harbor Bridge to control both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
On occasion, will be required to supervise part-time Lift Bridge Worker Is.
Lift Bridge Worker II:
To perform responsible work in the operating of mechanical and electronic lift bridge gates on the Memorial Bridge, Sarah Mildred Long Bridge, Hampton River Bridge and/or the Little Harbor Bridge to control both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Performs the duties of a Lift Bridge Worker III in his/her absence.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Lift Bridge Worker I:
Education:
High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience:
Three months work experience, preferable in machine operations.
License/Certification:
