JOB SUMMARY

The Portsmouth Marriott Hotel is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to lead our fantastic Food and Beverage Team!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager who is keen to grow inside the biggest hotel company in the world, Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. Located near famous landmarks such as the Spinnaker Tower has a range of amenities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant and fitness centre.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

As the Food & Beverage Manager you will …

• Recruit, manage, train and develop the Food and Beverage departmental managers and support with the recruitment and training of the food & beverage team

• Work within budgeted guidelines for payroll and consumables

• Drive sales to maximize budgeted revenue

• Ensure incentive plans are in place for team members to maximize sales and revenue

• Evaluate guest satisfaction, recognise success and action plan for continuous improvement

• Review monthly P&L statement for departments, identify opportunities cost saving

• Work with the Finance Manager to forecast monthly sales and costs

• Work closely with all departmental managers to ensure seamless guest experiences across the hotel

• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

• Knowledge of Opera is preferred but not essential
