SAP IT Technology Services Manager in Porto Salvo, Portugal

We are seaking a people manager for our young and highly motivated Solutions Management & Operations (SMO) team in Portugal supporting SAPs internal business solutions.

In your role you will be reponsible for:

  • the execution of the IT Operations Cloud strategy supporting the team on its hybrid operations journey

  • driving the SMO strategy, portfolio & innovation topics jointly as part of the leadership team

  • cooperating with stakeholders, establish and extend the network with our customers to help the team develop in its trusted advisor role

  • driving agile principles leading to more self-orgnization in the team, in line with the strategy of delivery units within CPIT

  • shaping the future of SMO adressing the demand of a DevOps organization

  • setting goals and direction, developing team members and ensure colleagues reside in high-performance zone

  • creating an environment conducive to resilient and secure operations

  • resource management, issue resolution and escalation management, ensuring defined SLAs & KPIs for operations and seamless operation across the time zone

  • being Portugal site lead for employees reporting to other SMO line managers in Germany

  • supervising the trainee program for young talents

What you bring

  • 5 years experience working with global teams in a leadership role with a required background on cultural sensitivity

  • Ideally, having expertise in guiding a team through a dynamic setting with rapidly evolving technology

  • Proven track record of 5 years experience in SAP basis & cloud technology, optimally experience in hybrid operations

  • experience with agile methodologies, ability to develop and lead a self-organized team

  • excellent interpersonal verbal & written communication skills in English language

  • strong customer, result and execution focus

  • self confidence & competency working under high pressure, making critical decisions, interacting with senior management
