Otak is currently seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Water and Natural Resources (WNR) team in our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the design and delivery of water resource projects, enjoy working on multidisciplinary teams driving responsive, timely, and high-quality service and product quality. You will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership and manage stormwater, river/stream restoration and fish passage design projects in Oregon and Washington. What you\'ll do: Actively collaborate with our Service Group Leaders to provide technical leadership within our Water and Natural Resources Business Unit. The Senior Water Resource Engineer will engage in business development, training, project delivery processes, and operational needs, with a focus on stormwater, stream and river restoration projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Provide technical excellence and thought leadership in the areas of stormwater, river/stream restoration, fish passage design, bridge hydraulics and scour countermeasure design. Prepare technical approaches/scope, schedule, and budgets for proposals. Manage water resources planning and design projects in and around natural areas, including workload planning, schedule, deliverables, and quality control. Supervise and mentor staff responsible for design calculations, design drawings and specifications. Direct and oversee the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. What you bring: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering required. Master\'s degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of previous Project Engineering experience in stormwater management design and stream/river restoration design, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of project management or task management experience as a discipline lead. Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or Washington. Technical leadership. Ability to work collaboratively within a creative, professional, team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
