As leader you will create strong partnerships across the business to ensure delivery of our Supply Chain strategies in line with our Growth agenda. You will be responsible for Leading, coaching and developing our Plant multi-functional teams to identify best practices and improvements that will increase our Reliability, Productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. Your goal will be to establish an Agile and synchronized Supply chain.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Support the 24/7 manufacturing operation by effectively leading the Facilities, Utilities & Ingredient Handling operations across the Portland bakery.

  • Effectively manage the facilities & utilities budget, partnering with Maintenance Manager, Sections Managers, and 3rd party providers.

  • Provide support, expertise, and guidance to your team, the rest of the Maintenance department, and the Engineering team.

  • Manage portfolio, relationship, and work execution of 3rd party providers according to Mondelēz standards.

  • Implement world-class manufacturing and maintenance practices. Implement IL6S (Integrated Lean 6 Sigma) program.

  • Deliver year over year operational savings. Implement practices and governance to drive continuous improvement and zero-loss mentality.

  • Develop self-sufficient teams and a high-performance organization. Effectively manage the talent, capabilities, and engagement of the team. Implement levers to attract, retain and development talent.

  • Be a champion and role model of servant leadership.

  • Be a champion of Mondelēz manufacturing standards, compliance requirements, quality and safety policies, and all applicable regulations.

What you will bring

  • Significant experience in leading manufacturing performance in a fast moving manufacturing environment with exceptional results (FMCG experience) with a career that has seen time at the Front Line and/or Manufacturing Manager level. Demonstrable and intuitive knowledge on fundamentals of good manufacturing practice, process improvement and optimization, Reconfiguration and imbedding of new or enhanced technology, Managing Costs and Variance, Motivaters and engagement levers for shop floor based performance, experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving and team building with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

  • Experience in interfacing with the broader Supply Chain and Commercial functions and a high level of capability around managing relationships and outcomes with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Category and Sales.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a maintenance role, with at least 5 years of experience in utilities management (HVAC, water/sewer systems, gas systems, pumps, boilers, electrical systems, compressors, instrumentation, infrastructure, safety requirements/regulations, etc), including maintenance management software, preferably within a manufacturing setting.

  • 5 years of maintenance leadership. Success record in developing maintenance systems and portfolio of 3rd party providers.

  • Success record developing teams and talent, as well as developing a continuous improvement culture.

  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Solid finance acumen.

  • Strong customer service mindset.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with strong influencing and leadership skills.

  • Transformational mindset.

  • Preferred: TPM expertise, CPG/food manufacturing experience, bulk ingredients delivery systems, unionized environment.

Work schedule Onsite : Must have schedule flexibility
