Description
We are in the process of hiring a Project Manager for our client's team based in Portland, Oregon. As a Project Manager, you will be tasked with leading a crucial software implementation project, utilizing your extensive skills in project management and system implementations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the software implementation project from inception to completion, ensuring all aspects are executed effectively.
• Utilize methodologies to plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of project goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with the VP of Operations to ensure the project is progressing as planned and to address any challenges promptly.
• Interface with third-party software vendors, leveraging their expertise to enhance the software implementation process.
• Utilize strong communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and issues.
• Regularly review the project's progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure it remains on track for successful completion.
• Apply detail-oriented principles to effectively manage project risks and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
Requirements
• Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, to effectively convey project objectives, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience in project management, demonstrating a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed specifications.
• Experience in system implementation, including planning, executing, and monitoring the implementation to ensure a smooth and effective rollout.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues promptly.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners.
• Degree in project management, business, or a related field.
• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP are preferred.
