As a Senior Software Engineer for Platform M&A Integrations, you will be at the forefront of developing and integrating the technologies that will define Autodesk's trajectory.

You will join our Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) group, where you will work alongside architects, engineers, product managers, and leaders across critical domains such as identity, licensing, security, and platform infrastructure. Your mission will be to engineer robust, scalable solutions that enhance our platform's capabilities, facilitating the smooth integration of acquired technologies. With your expertise, you will drive the technical execution of integration projects, from inception through to successful deployment, ensuring alignment with Autodesk's strategic goals.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with many areas of Autodesk's platform, work on integrating the new technologies we acquire, and collaborate with teams across the entire organization. You will be instrumental in accelerating our platform evolution, reinforcing Autodesk as a leader and trusted partner in the industry.

You will report to the Director, Platform M&A Integrations in PSET. You can be located in the West Coast United States, preferably close to one of our office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Integration Solutions: Design and implement software solutions that integrate newly acquired technologies with the Autodesk platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability

  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with architects, product development teams, and platform engineers, providing software engineering expertise to support M&A integration efforts

  • Problem-Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges associated with integrating diverse systems and technologies, applying innovative problem-solving skills to ensure smooth transitions

  • Cross-Team Coordination: Ensure alignment between project objectives and technology strategies, facilitating communication and collaboration across various teams

  • Contribute to Best Practices: Help define and refine engineering best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of our integration processes and the overall health of the platform

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions

  • Strong Technical Foundation: Deep understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, coding standards, and development methodologies

  • Experience with System Integration: Demonstrated experience in integrating diverse systems, applications, and platforms. This includes understanding various integration approaches and technologies, such as APIs, microservices, and desktop software architecture

  • Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, showing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills, with a knack for identifying and resolving technical challenges efficiently

  • Continuous learner: staying up to date with the latest in software engineering, cloud technologies, and emerging trends that could influence our technology landscape

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $141,400 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
