Job Description

An insurance client is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join their growing AI / ML organization. This person will be focused within leading the team and providing high level technical delivery for the enterprise. Day to day includes guiding team members through code reviews and projects, leading junior team members by providing insight and direction, and delivery technically. This person is the highest level of individual contributor at the company, so autonomy over their process and work, delivering over long-term projects and continuous improvements over multiple work cycles, and providing leadership and coaching are core experiences that will be leveraged in this role. The company sits in Portland, Oregon and works core PST hours.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field

• 10+ years of experience in the Data Science field in an enterprise environment

• Expert technical experience with Python, Databricks, Pytorch, and Azure cloud

• Experience working with large language models and neural networks

-Experience coaching and mentoring team members - Master's Degree

• DSPy experience / knowledge

• Experience in the insurance / banking / finance space and working with highly regulated data null
