Aerotek, on behalf of it's client is seeking Avionics Electricians in a MRO on firefighting and heavy lift utility Helicopters. Local pay : $Local: 33/hr Non-local: 31.25/hr, 166/day per diem (total comp $52).

Job Description

• Working in a MRO environment, the Avionics Electrician will disassemble, repair, fabricate parts as necessary, reassemble, install, and document maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234 firefighting and heavy lift utility).

• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task.

• Cleans and inspects components and aircraft wiring installations for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment. Replaces or repairs damaged or worn component parts and wiring using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment. Assembles components and wire harnesses with same tools and equipment.

• 5-day schedule for several weeks to start (8am - 4:30pm), then will move to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri

Hard Skills

• 3+ years of experience in aircraft electrical wiring and avionics repair

• Tools required

• Experience repairing structures of CH-47 airframes preferred

• A&P license preferred
