Application Programming Analyst

Develops and maintains software as instructed by the Project Manager. Provides software support to the application user community.

This position is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

  • Develops, maintains and supports software for the application user community.

  • Designs and implements solutions based on the requirements requested by the business.

  • Participates in all aspects of the application life cycle; analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.

  • Perform configuration and administration of business applications for SaaS-based solutions

  • Code, test and implement solutions using most appropriate tool based on design determined through collaboration with Solution Architect and Development Manager

  • Develop and support integration with other systems/applications/databases

  • Follow corporate system development life cycle, corporate style standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, governance and other related policies

  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, validation rules and custom workflow

  • Design and implement application security

  • Perform support of production applications by responding to service desk assignments, tracking problems/issues, and following up with customers

  • Perform upgrades to packaged and internally developed business systems

  • Support internally developed applications by addressing defects and coding and testing enhancements to existing systems

  • Work with business, IT Business Partner, Business Analyst to understand issues with software and develop solutions to resolve them

  • Develop and support reports requested by the business on vendor platforms

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Degree from a four-year college or technical school. One year of related experience in system development and business analysis preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field

  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience with business systems implementation and support

  • Experience with web-based technologies such as LWC & AURA components , JQuery, ReactJS/NodeJS, Salesforce Apex, Java/J2EE or .net.

  • Experience with XML, integration, workflow, and Service Oriented Architecture

  • Experience working on projects requiring the implementation of custom and vendor-supported technology

  • Ability to work collaboratively with business and IT professionals

  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops in person and remotely

  • Ability to mentor junior developers

  • Ability to think analytically, solve problems and recommend approaches and solutions

  • 3 - 5 years of experience programming in a Web 2.0-based environment

  • Experience with application design and development including Object-Oriented software design or AWS development, including Lambda functions

  • Experience with designing and using REST-based or SOAP-based web services

  • Experience with CRM platforms and cloud-based technologies

  • Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

  • Knowledge of standard programming design patterns in order to implement flexible and scalable solutions (e.g., Singleton, Factory, etc.)

  • Knowledge of implementing enterprise integration solutions (e.g., Messaging, Transformation, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of standard software tools for source code management, continuous integration, and development

  • Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities

  • Experience writing database queries, stored procedures, and functions
