GENERAL PURPOSE

Serve as an ambassador to the public, representing and promoting Oakhurst at community events. Interact with the target audience to create positive and memorable experiences.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Participate in promotional events, product launches, and marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility and create a memorable brand experience. Dressing up as Oakhurst's Mascot Oakie the Acorn.

· Attend community events while engaging people by personally interacting them

· Distribute promotional materials

· Promote important issues such as healthy eating, staying active, and being good stewards to our environment

· Adhere to a pre-planned schedule of appearances and ensure timely arrival and departure for events. Maintain appropriate behavior and uphold the reputation of the organization or brand

Not interested in dressing up as Oakie; not a problem; we have other opportunities that include being Oakie's escort to events and a merchandiser. The products are already at the supermarket; we just need you to restock the refrigerated shelves with Oakhurst products, rotate the dairy products, and maintain a clean, positive appearance of all our displays and offerings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ambassador, mascot, or related experience

· Certification and/or License – Valid / active driver’s license (good driving record and reliable transportation); may be required during course of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Outgoing and creative personality with a willingness and desire to have fun

· Able to perform both independently and as a team member

· Able to create engaging interactions with the audience

· Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally (and non-verbally if mascot)

· Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)

· Awareness of safety protocols and guidelines while interacting with the public

· Must be able to read, write and speak English
