Description We are in the process of recruiting an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry based in Portland, Maine. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your role will primarily revolve around handling the company's accounting functions, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications, and maintaining detailed customer credit records. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer credit.

• Handle customer inquiries and provide appropriate resolutions.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed.

• Execute light reception duties including answering calls.

• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for various accounting tasks.

• Generate and distribute invoices.

• Utilize Quickbooks Online for various accounting functions.

• Manage the billing functions of the company. Requirements • Proficient in executing all accounting functions, including reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and resolving discrepancies.

• Experience in billing functions, such as preparing, issuing, and sending out receipts, bills, invoices, and statements.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services, particularly in the context of managing payroll and employee benefits.

• Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online for managing company finances, tracking sales, and creating and sending invoices.
