Job Title: Powder Coater

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for painting and powder coating.

• Apply powder coatings to various parts and assemblies.

• Ensure adherence to quality and quantity standards.

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

• Participate in cross-training and teamwork activities.

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.

• Report safety and quality issues promptly.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.

• Capability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.

• Attention to detail and ability to notice and report issues.

• Skills in documentation, team concepts, and basic preventative maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience with powder coating, machine operation, painting, welding, and fabrication.

• Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.

• Prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling.

• Operation of machinery and use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to loud noises, and requires the use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, and respirators in designated areas. The role involves operating machinery and requires physical activities such as lifting, carrying, stooping, and standing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Michigan

Shift/Pay Rate:

• 1st Shift (4:45am-1:15pm) - $17.50/hr

• 2nd Shift (12:45pm - 9:15pm) - $19.50/hr

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
