Description

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in PORTAGE, Michigan. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be working in the Non-profit services industry, supporting project work related to invoice cleaning, journal entries, and tax Grantee updates. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct audit and validation of invoice details and journal entries.

• Support the conversion of invoices for tax purposes.

• Utilize QuickBooks online and Excel to manage workload effectively.

• Assist with Non-profit accounting and Grant accounting tasks.

• Prepare and adjust journal entries as necessary.

• Prepare for audit functions and ensure all relevant documents are ready.

• Code invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain and update customer credit records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in non-profit accounting

• Experience with grant accounting

• Ability to prepare and adjust journal entries

• Skilled in computer data entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with QuickBooks Online

• Ability to code invoices accurately

• Excellent customer service skills
