Reyes Holdings Trailer Technician Trainee in Portage, Indiana

Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Technician Trainee (entry level) for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for assisting with preventative work and general maintenance within the shop and trailers.

Shift: Full-Time l Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM

Pay: $20.00-$22.00/HR based on experience/qualifications

    Position Responsibilities: 

  • R esponsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets by completing com p l e x and detailed mechanical inspections, diagnoses, and repairs typical of technicians

  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system

  • A ssist s with the installation of trailer refrigeration , heating units , and hydraulic liftgate components

  • D iagnos es , repair s , and instal lations of trailer roll-up and swing doors as well as the installation of external graphics

  • Assist with the replacement of defective components as instructed

  • Other duties as assigned

    Required Education and Experience:

  • High S chool D iploma or G eneral Education Degree with 1 plus years of related experience

  • Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds up to 100 pound s

  • Must have valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles

  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)

    Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Technical School Certification
