Special note: this is a Part-Time position working only 24hrs a week.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Overview: Outreach work and office assistance; distributing materials; coordinating WIC referrals and Health Fairs; Organizational office duties.

Prepares outreach materials with labels for distribution and coordinates with Director on outreach focus and additional materials.

Distributes outreach materials to community agencies, physicians, hospitals, churches, food banks and the public per WIC outreach objectives and plans.

Coordinates referrals with health providers and agencies. Obtains contact information to update Doctor Telephone/address directory for outreach.

Prepare lists of community contacts and updates mailing and contact information.

Conducts outreach via mail, in-person, presentations, telephone, and other venues. Maintains outreach documentation for monthly outreach activity reporting ‘Coordinates outreach promotions with targeted groups for referrals to WIC.

Assists with preparation of WIC & nutrition displays for health fairs and community events. Covers community events in coordination with other office staff.

Organizes educational and outreach materials and supplies as needed.

Assists the Director and Supervisors in office organizational duties and special projects.

Assists with contacting clients for appointments or other required communications as needed, and voicemail retrieval.

Completes employee activity records, timesheets, travel, and other reports per FDOH and DMS procedures.

Participates in voter registration, confidentiality, civil rights, and all other required FDOH and WIC trainings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Willing to work special needs shelter.

  • Florida driver’s License

  • Ability to obtain and accurate document date.

    Preferred:

  • Have at least three years’ experience working with people.
