Hyatt Front Office Host in PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago

Description:

Front Office associates are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Associate. Duties include:

  • Rotate duties as Host, Telephone Operator or Regency Club Host

  • Greeting and thanking guests in a sincere, friendly manner.

  • Perform all guest check-in and checkout procedures; which includes obtain or confirm guest information, assign rooms, activate and distribute keys, etc.

  • Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts and collect payment for room charges and other fees.

  • Make and confirm reservations

  • Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.

  • Anticipating and addressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems and complaints.

  • Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Performing duties on daily checklist.

  • Up Selling guest rooms and promoting hotel services

  • Operating switchboard and assisting with inquiries.

  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, specials, promotions, facilities, policies, room rates and area’s attractions

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management or a relevant field;

  • Ability to speak a second Language fluently is preferred.

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications; knowledge of Reserve/Opera software;

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; weekends, holidays, overnight shifts

  • Physically agile, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time;

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;

  • Excellent problem solving skills.

  • Well-groomed, professional appearance.

  • Must be fully vaccinated
