Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

- Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

- Expected hours: 50 per week or more

What’s a typical day as a Land Surveyor? You’ll be:

• Researching historical documentation and conducting surveys to measure points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, and land division

• Reading drawings and making necessary calculations

• Utilizing Trimble/Topcon software and equipment, including GPS and total station instruments

• Performing land surveys for maintenance, location, and relocation of section corners using GPS equipment and/or conventional surveying equipment

• Surveying the site to gather information and precise measurements on geographic, hydrographic, and topographic features

• Advising construction managers on on-site conditions, building defects, or potential environmental impacts within boundary lines

• Performing layout work, checking as-built conditions, and staking out clearing boundaries and reference points on site

Requirements:

• Have experience reading drawings and making calculations based on the information given

• Are proficient in using Trimble/Topcon software and equipment, including GPS and total station instruments

• Possess knowledge of survey field techniques, survey language, conventional equipment, GPS equipment, and other electronic surveying equipment & accessories

• Can perform land surveys for maintenance, location, and relocation of section corners using GPS equipment and/or conventional surveying equipment

• Have the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

• Are able to perform differential level work and construction surveys for construction sites

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
