Tetrad Digital Integrity LLC Cybersecurity Technical Writer (Secret clearance) in Port Hueneme, California

Tetrad Digital Integrity (TDI) is a leading-edge cybersecurity firm with a mission to safeguard and protect our customers from increasing threats and vulnerabilities in this digital age.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Technical Writer to join our team at Port Hueneme in CA. This position requires an active Secret clearance and will be responsible for creating clear, comprehensive documentation that supports cybersecurity initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft incident response plans, security procedure manuals, and compliance documentation that align with DoD regulatory requirements. Work closely with cybersecurity professionals to translate complex technical information into accessible content for various audiences within the organization.

  • Update existing documents to reflect new threats and technologies, thereby maintaining the relevance and effectiveness of the information provided.

  • Ability to develop technical documentation detailing design, installation, configuration, operational management, and training material on the for defensive cyber operations on closed communications architecture.

  • Documents may also include high level and technical infrastructure drawings, process outlines and or system/network schematics, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and other supporting documentation development as necessary to support standardizing installation and configuration activities across a diverse portfolio.

  • Develop reports based on timelines, completed tasks, and material needed for status updates

  • Work very closely with command staff, cyber teams, analysts, and engineers to compile and consolidate technical knowledge into understandable and learnable format that can be further used as formal training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience in writing and creating technical documentation, systems/network engineering with a focus on build documents OR equivalent combination of education, training, & experience

  • Proficiency in technical writing and editing services on materials like informational products, presentations, design documentation, reports, etc., while complying with Navy style guides and quality control measures

  • Understands the technical processes and stack of technologies (Windows, Red Hat, VM, networking, switch configuration, domains management and software tools)

  • Familiarity with Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS), network infrastructure, software infrastructure documentation and standard diagrams.

  • Comprehensive writing skillset

  • Technical documentation creation and assist with control efforts

  • Proficient in MS Office 365 products to include Visio

  • Proficient in Adobe PDF

  • Ability to create visual aids and examples to enhance understanding

  • Good communication skills with the ability to listen to details and capture information

  • Maintain consistency in terminology and formatting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting NAVFAC systems and missions

  • Experience in technical writing and editing of IT documents.

  • Experience writing deliverables for the federal government.

  • Experience writing technical documentation

  • Be available to provide writing samples

  • Microsoft Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
