The Opportunity
Williams International is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to act as the quality representative on a product development team. The individual will drive increased quality into the product and process via an Advanced Product Quality Planning approach to development similar to the automotive industry. You will also act as an agent of change on the Path to Zero Defects as you advocate for continual improvement.
Additionally, the Quality Engineer will:
- Work with product development teams to reduce late-stage development churn through increased quality of both the product design and manufacturing processes, utilizing tools including (but not limited to) D/PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plans, MSA, Process Capability Studies and First Article Inspections.
- Initiate and / or support process improvement initiatives for current production processes to achieve higher process capability within the production cells
Mentoring Quality Analysts and Rotational Engineers as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields also considered.
- Work involves practical job knowledge obtained in a manufacturing environment and skills gained with 5+ years of Manufacturing Quality Engineering.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 / 9145, AS13100, and AIAG APQP -- PPAP standards is required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, VISIO) and have some statistical analysis background.
- Candidate must have evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
