Bi-weekly Rate of Pay: $1,745.46 (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will perform the duties and responsibilities listed below for facilities in the Central Region.
Provides assistance to the Residential Administrative Services Director in oversight and management of General Services for Residential Services within the assigned programs and/or region and ensuring the mission of the Department of Juvenile Justice is achieved with the highest level of efficiency, cost effectiveness and accountability.
Ensures that General Services functions are administered in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Reviews General Services rules, regulations, policies and procedures to evaluate impact on Residential Services.
Ensures proper maintenance and repairs of new and existing programs. Prepares, obtains quotes, and tracks facility work orders for the programs within the Central Region. Submits Work Orders to the Residential Administrative Services Director for review and signature.
Coordinates the on-site analysis of maintenance and repairs, general service functions, health and safety issues, and security issues for assigned programs.
Serves on workgroups or teams to establish resolution and/or implement corrective actions. Provides assistance to Facility Services in the review and tracking of all program maintenance funds, work orders, and legislative maintenance.
Prepares budget requests and other general services activities.
Oversees state owned vehicles for regional offices and provider programs.
Reviews vehicle logs, inputs data into appropriate database that is required.
Reviews fuel and maintenance and repair invoices for vehicles monthly, processing invoices as needed.
Maintains, tracks, and conducts inventory and property activities.
Reviews and tracks vehicle logs, leases and telecommunications for assigned programs.
Prepares budget requests and other General Services activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the principles, techniques, materials and equipment used in building construction.
Knowledge of organizing design, construction production and operations.
Knowledge of principles and practices of architecture and engineering design.
Knowledge of budgetary process and principles.
Knowledge methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to travel.
Valid Driver's License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience assessing facilities for repair and maintenance issues.
Knowledge of Florida State Fire Marshal rules and regulations.
