Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary
As a Heavy Equipment Operator – Ramp Service Specialist, you will report to the Supervisor and you will be responsible for operating designated K-Loaders (44k-60K) and Forklifts (4K-30K) equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment (Aircraft Loaders, Forklifts) to download and upload Military and Civilian Aircraft.
Build Cargo to Air Force standards for Movement on Military Aircraft.
Perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Follow the directions given by ground guides.
Continuously analyze the work environment for hazards and stop operations, if required, to correct hazards.
Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Must have a verifiable heavy equipment operator’s certification or license.
Requires proficiency in the operation of heavy equipment, such as Graders, Rollers, Dozers and 8k-30k Forklifts.
Requires a strong understanding of and adherence to safety procedures, protocols, and guidelines for heavy equipment operation.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must be able to lift, crouch, bend, reach and climb in all weather conditions.
Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Additional certifications related to specific types of heavy equipment.
Prior Air Force 2T2 experience or US Army 88N/88H.
Certification to transport hazardous materials.
