Naval Air Systems Command HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT in Point Mugu, California

Summary You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant in the Human Capital Management Group, Human Resources Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU. Responsibilities You will assist in completing a range of personnel actions in the areas of classification, pay-setting, staffing, and benefits. You will assist employees on benefit entitlements and required documentation. You will process administrative actions by researching and applying laws, rules, and instructions. You will work closely with co-workers, employees and managers in solving problems as well as technical and process improvements within the Human Management Capital Department. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications DG-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/6) or pay band (DG-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Providing technical human resources support and advice to coworkers, employees, and supervisors at various levels of an organization; 2) Researching human resources regulations, processes, and procedures to advise others; 3) Preparing and reviewing human resources paperwork to be processed, ensuring completeness and accuracy; 4) Utilizing computer systems, including DCPDS, USA Staffing, and Onboarding Manager. DG-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-4/5) or pay band (DG-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Preparing and reviewing paperwork for completeness and accuracy; 2) Utilizing computer programs, systems, and/or databases to perform human resources duties; 3) Performing, troubleshooting, or fact finding tasks to support personnel or administrative functions.
