United States Fleet Forces Command SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in Point Loma Complex, California

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY MATERIAL SUPPORT DIVISION, PROJECT MATERIAL MANAGER BRANCH (CODE 522) of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of Project Material Support Coordinators (PMSC). You will provide logistics authoritative guidance and administrative supervision over a core team of civilian employees and contractors. You will plan and schedule work to be accomplished by subordinates. You will develop and initiate administrative procedures and controls to ensure that the waterfront material support work is performed in a timely manner within budget constraints. You will be responsible for the logistical activities of all work within the area of managing the ordering, expediting, receiving and inspecting the waterfront material support. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with supply operations or demonstrated mastery of general supply program management. Experience applying new theories, concepts, and/or developments to supply problems. Experience planning and carrying out the work, resolving most of the conflicts that arise, integrating and coordinating the work of others as necessary, and interpreting policy in terms of established objectives. Experience adapting, modifying, and making intelligent compromises with standards, guides, and methods and in originating new techniques. Experience utilizing various leadership and mentoring techniques to achieve customer satisfaction.
