The Sr IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for administration and support of infrastructure implementations. You will provide direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, design, coordination, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to infrastructure / information systems, software, transaction monitors, and the range of products and productivity tools that support testing and production environments. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid What you will do: Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure solutions on hosting platforms, leveraging Linux, container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes. Level 3 escalation for Linux related issues Develop and implement robust Linux systems in Azure cloud, incorporating best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization Automation and Orchestration: Implement and drive automation initiatives using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks. Implement CI/CD and DevOps model for Infrastructure as a code Automate repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and infrastructure management Design and implement observability, tools and monitoring to ensure 24/7 system availability, including automating detection of outages, latency, bottlenecks to track Linux system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization Security and Compliance: Ensure the integrity and security of infrastructure environments through proactive measures such as access controls and least privileged access Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure processes and practices Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide training to team members as needed Standardization: Write Linux deployment standards and ensure the environment meets these standards Assesses and advises management on determining next generation technology solutions. Identify and drive improvements in system architecture, operational practices, and tooling to enhance reliability, security, and scalability Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions What's in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 4+ years of Linux architect and design, including deploying, and managing Linux-based infrastructure environment 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, observability or similar role 3+ years of experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Jenkins.
