Daikin Applied Project Manager I in Plymouth, Minnesota

Project Manager - Plymouth, MN- Hybrid Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a Project Manager who will liaise with a variety of teams to manage projects in engineering, systems & controls and product management areas. The primary responsibilities will focus on managing NPI (New Product Introduction), cost improvement projects and project teams. Manage and maintain the NPI process. Focus these efforts on the company's strategic goals and the specific projects' tactical goals. Location: Hybrid. Plymouth, MN What you will do: Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters Help define, maintain and monitor project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Validate financial forecasts and provides ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs Resolve problems in assigned projects using innovative solutions and interface with others in the company, report and escalate to executive management as needed Successfully manage the relationship with key stakeholders Perform risk management to minimize project risks and resolve critical problems as they arise Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Maintain and improve other project management tools as necessary to drive the development process Lead stage-gate reviews for project progress and funding approval Delegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate, identify and resolve conflicts, manage project dependencies and constraints, and develop contingency plans where required Prepare and present reports periodically on the status of assigned projects Works closely with the Program Managers, PMO Director and other business leaders to plan future projects and prioritize existing projects What's in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in an engineering or other technical field 2-3 years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing organization, Experience managing project team sizes in a matrix environment Experience managing projects with budgets in up to $250,000 and project timelines that typically span up to 6 months to completion Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project Ability to manage multiple projects & priorities concurrently Proven ability to earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or related project management certification Good communication skills across all levels of the organization and cross functional, well developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and/or client needs Travel on an as-needed basis; 10% annually Preferred Qualifications: PMP Certification HVAC industry experience Experience with project management enterprise systems like Project Online, Project Server and/or Azure DevOps #LI-hybrid #LI-DF1 Equal Opportunity Employment: It is the policy of Daikin Applied to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, membership or activity in a local commission, or any other characteristic pr tected by federal, state or local law.
