Product Development Engineer I - Plymouth, MN - Hybrid Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a Product Development Engineer I who will assist with the development of one or more primary systems or sub-systems on commercial HVAC equipment. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN What you will do: Technical development of HVAC equipment using engineering fundamentals such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mechanical analysis. Partner with the engineering team to learn and contribute to the design of the following subsystems: vapor compression refrigeration systems fans, motors, mechanical drives, and variable speed technologies pumps and fluid flow control devices heat exchanger design and selection cabinetry/structural systems: FEA, shipping and vibration, accelerated life testing, seismic and wind loading unit controls design and validation: sequence of operation, control algorithms, and associated control devices Laboratory testing and validation of HVAC systems. Collaborate on cross-functional teams to test our equipment in our state-of-the-art laboratories. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
