Honeywell Mechanical Engineering Manager in Plymouth, Minnesota
Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager for our Plymouth, MN location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers on productization efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and product development, specializing in the development and application of good engineering practices, GD&T, and management of transitioning concepts from R&D to manufacturing. This leadership role will involve managing a team of engineers and researchers, partnering with R&D teams and Manufacturing teams to ensure that practices are aligned with the latest advancements in mechanical systems engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-
Manages a high performing team of Mechanical Engineers and CAD Specialists
Oversees technical work, ensures team execution of customer-driven milestones and deliverables
Champions engineering projects from proposal to build stage
Sets employees goals, manages achievement, mentors, conducts performance assessments
Provides direction into new products, process, standards, or op plans in alignment with business strategies
Manages and distributes team workload to ensure proper resource alignment
Ensures short- and long-term resource availability
Partners with other engineering managers on strategic direction of the greater team
Performs as a bridge between R&D and Manufacturing
The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is $138,000-172,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT-
U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
8+ years of experience in Engineering
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams
Strong knowledge in Mechanical Engineering methodologies, tools, and application of industry standards and practices
U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance
