Reference #: 1366 Harmony Biosciences is recruiting for a Associate Director, Forecasting in our Plymouth meeting, PA location. In this role you will be responsible for leading the forecasting function for in-line brands for the organization (role will also liaise with Commercial Development team on life cycle management indications and future business development assets to bring new product/indication approvals into in-line forecasts). This role will leverage information to develop, maintain, and scenario plan for demand forecasting needs for Harmony as a publicly traded company.  Analytics and forecasting needs span monthly/quarterly actuals, 6-18-month Latest Estimates, and 5-10 year Long Range Plan horizons. This role will also develop and prepare weekly and monthly performance dashboards to support strategic development and tactical implementations to guide the business in support of the patients we serve.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leads and owns Harmony Demand forecasting activities to ensure accurate and timely forecasting deliverables. Partners with external forecasting consultant to refresh, update, maintain, refine, develop new approaches, and deliver the Demand Forecast. Collaborate with Commercial Development Team to develop and understand pipeline PDUFA dates and forecasts as assets move through clinical development programs and integrate into long range plan forecasts to elucidate long term value of the organization as a publicly traded company. Coordinate process by which forecast assumptions and results are reviewed and drive decision-making on forecast assumptions with stakeholders; track actual net sales performance relative to forecast, explain sources of variance. Communicate results and variance explanations to Brand and Senior Management through standard monthly and quarterly reporting, or ad-hoc requests; Provide guidance and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership on performance, business risks and opportunities. Work with market research and insight team to gather and interpret primary research and secondary analysis to assess effect of market events, knowledge of competitive market. Partner with Finance counterparts to provide the demand forecast for their needs.  Assist with translation into dollarization as needed.  Assist with modeling and development of Gross-to-Net calculations, as needed. Partner with Supply Chain to provide current forecasts (latest estimates and long-range plans) so that they can model and develop supply chain requirements for zero-risk customer service and supplier capacity planning needs.  Will also partner with Supply Chain to understand trends in year-end and year-beginning pipeline inventory status with our Specialty Pharmacies and incorporate into the forecasts as needed. Enhance decision making by providing analytical rigor through development of scenarios, modeling risks & uncertainties, and clarifying trade-offs. Present and support analytic conclusions and implications for strategy development and tactical execution including weekly and monthly performance dashboards. Collaborate with other Harmony departments including Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and Commercial Operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required; MBA preferred 8+ years experience within the pharma/biotech or medical device space required (rare orphan market a plus); 5+ years commercial /analytical experience including direct involvement with executing demand forecasting Proficient in building and managing Excel-based forecast models Experience with secondary data [e.g., APLD medical claims data, audited TRx data (IQVIA or Symphony Health), and epidemiology references] Demonstrated critical thinking, aptitude for quantitative analysis and qualitative research. Ability to distill data, often from a myriad of similar and disparate sources, into insights that can drive action (abili y to "connect the dots") Expert Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, business partners, stakeholders, and upper management across varied styles Physical demands and work environment: Domestic travel is estimated to be up to 20% of the time for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision.
