Oracle Principal Cloud Quality Assurance Engineer in Pleasanton, California

Job Description

We are looking for software engineers with Methodical approach, Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential. Strong technical background in relevant cloud platforms( AWS ,OCI ,AZURE, GCP) with working understanding of related concepts such as (Networking , Idenity Providers) is a must.

Strong foundation in designing and implementing QA test strategies and automation. You must also be passionate about understanding new and strategic concepts in a fast paced environment acting as POC in order to provide key project deliverables. You will be able to manage multiple priorities across operations and functional testing, making use of your innovative mindset to create automation as appropriate.You will champion and prioritise important Customer and Business scenarios as you develop test strategies.

The position requires solid computer science background, strong cloud platform knowledge, analytical skills to create test plan design and strategies, strong coding and design skills for developing and testing enterprise grade software, execution skills, strong collaboration and communication skills, proven track record of delivering strong results in similar projects as QA engineer in a product development organization.

About Oracle Analytics for Applications

We are looking for senior technical professionals who are passionate about building Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytical Applications. Quality assurance of such systems is a challenging task and requires deep technical knowledge and individuals who are passionate about quality. The right candidate will work closely with the development team leaders, product/program managers, and release managers to create the next generation of our Analytics product line for the cloud.

We will provide pre-packaged analytic pipelines and applications hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, built for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. Our Services will deliver pre-built data models for ERP, HCM, CRM applications. Additionally, we will have offerings that will provide semantic layer KPIs and metrics, and modern visualizations that will provide analytical and actionable insights to the Business User. We are building our offerings as Native Services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex workflows to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.

  • Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of application features.

  • Coordinate testing efforts across multiple teams and departments to facilitate smooth project execution.

  • Analyze requirements and product specifications to identify gaps and suggest improvements.

  • Engage in identity management testing, validating security features and access controls

  • Utilize strong analytical and debugging skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects efficiently.

  • Optimize day-to-day test operations through automation and innovative testing methodologies.

  • Understand and apply cloud concepts such as cloud networking, infrastructure, identity management, and autonomous cloud solutions in testing scenarios

  • Report and track defects using appropriate tools, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies based on industry best practices.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • B.S or equivalent degree

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud platform architecture

  • Strong QA experience of creating Test Specs, automating, executing and reporting results in SaaS/Cloud environment

  • Proven comfort with Linux env and systems, Network, OS, and DB monitoring/debugging

  • Container (Docker) based applications, Kubernetes based deployments

  • Proficiency in automation tools to streamline testing processes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Reliable, Team-oriented, Quick Learner driven to produce results with minimum supervision

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
