Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$17.30 - $39.06
Shift: 2nd (14:00 - 22:00)
Responsibilities:
The Senior Technician – QC performs accurate and timely testing of routine lab samples in accordance with appropriate GMP and safety guidelines. The Sr. Lab Technician will also participate in laboratory investigations, equipment calibrations and maintenance by executing well-defined protocols and procedures. The Sr. Lab Technician identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement within the lab.
Key Objectives/Deliverables :
Accurately and safely performs test methods or related support activities as per procedures or protocols and reviews that results conform to standards.
Performs data entry and ensures own work for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures, standards and GMP requirements.
Recognizes when a deviation from procedures has occurred and notifies supervision to initiate an investigation.
Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement initiatives in daily work activities.
Performs routine equipment calibration, verification or maintenance activities through execution of well-defined protocols.
Maintains a safe work environment, works safely and is accountable for supporting all Health Safety and Environment Corporate and Site goals.
Supporting laboratory inventory management.
Routine laboratory sanitation.
Basic Qualifications :
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’sdegree in a science or engineering discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) preferred.
Experience:
GMP Laboratory experience including familiarity with analytical testing good documentation practices preferred.
Ability to work in a laboratory environment including wearing PPE and other safety required equipment and considerations.
Strong math and documentation skills.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal interaction skills.
Additional Skills/ Preferences :
Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office products, LIMS such as Darwin.
Ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
Working effectively with a cross functional group
Ability to repetitively lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to focus on continuous improvement.
