Position Overview
The Inventory Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory management system. The Inventory Coordinator will partner with Warehouse and Production leadership to serve as a key materials and inventory support expert to ensure accurate material inventory counts. This role will be essential in performing and facilitating the accurate count, movement and storage of various raw materials and finished goods materials throughout the manufacturing plant.
What you will need to accomplish:
Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively enforcing and participating in the safe work of others. Be a leading example of adherence to all internal safety procedures and policies to keep a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
Assist inventory Leader to perform regular and ad-hoc cycle counts of raw materials, WIP and finished goods to identify and rectify discrepancies, and documenting any adjustments made; Assist Inventory leader with conducting inventory research and discrepancy reviews.
Help maintain accurate inventory records by updating the system with cycle count results, investigating, and resolving discrepancies, and documenting any adjustments made to inventory Leader.
Align with Inventory Lead, Materials Manager and suppliers to schedule, swap and maintain continuous influx of raw materials and packaging supplies to facility.
Swap railcar compartments as needed to ensure the extrusion equipment is consistently replenished with resin material to support a 24/7 extrusion operation; Work with Maintenance dept. to communicate any preventative maintenance tasks, equipment failure or mechanical issues in a timely manner.
Assure raw material is received physically and in-system, stored, transported, and organized accurately and without damage.
Partner with Inventory Leader to conduct monthly WIP inventory reconciliation and report discrepancies to Warehouse leadership.
Participate and support the internal team compliance of established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ISO regulations, HACCP, and Food Safety standards.
Promote and actively engage in continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing environment, working with the CI leader on potential improvements.
Resolve or escalate computer equipment or IT related issues on the production floor.
Perform other miscellaneous support tasks to enable the team to be successful as requested by plant leadership.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 75 lbs. consistently and higher occasionally.
Able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Capable of working on a 8 – 10 hour shift (Monday – Friday), some weekends.
Experience or trainability to perform various roles in the operation.
Basic math skills to complete calculation and measurement of product.
Intermediate computer skills to input data / interface with Material Management Systems.
