HARIBO of America Facilities Supervisor - Manufacturing in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

The Facilities Supervisor  - Manufacturing is responsible for supporting and supervising the  maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utilities at the HARIBO Pleasant Prairie factory and campus grounds. This includes HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, elevators, transport system connecting Warehouse and Production building, as well as Wastewater Treatment Plant and ancillary buildings .

Located on-site at HARIBO’s brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (on I-94 in the Kenosha area), the Facilities Supervisor , reporting the Director of Construction and Infrastructure, will lead and executive projects to improve existing infrastructure, with a focus on continuous improvement. The Facilities Supervisor will have a team of utilities/building technicians under their leadership and is expected to collaborate with other functions to identify and resolve unplanned downtime events, quality, safety, cost and other losses attributed to the area, using problem solving techniques and a continuous improvement mindset.  This role is a champion for our people centric, continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, as well as maintenance and repair of the utilities systems throughout the facility, this includes Wastewater Treatment Plant Equipment and all ancillary buildings.

  • Successfully execute preventive maintenance program for equipment and buildings, collaborating with key stakeholders and inputs from direct reports.

  • Lead the utilities and facilities team according to the Haribo Values.

  • Maintain a positive, proactive, and collaborative culture in the department under his/her leadership and support the teams professional development

  • Ability to handle stress and balance priorities to achieve goals, maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.

  • Responsible for developing and coaching the team.

  • Identify, develop, and execute capital projects to improve systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

    Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or equivalent is minimum education level requirement.

  • Minimum of five (5) years in building/utilities maintenance or construction\

  • Basic knowledge of Wastewater Treatment

  • Must be flexible with work scheduling when required.

  • Open to occasional travel within the country and potentially some international travel (overall less than 5%)

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with building automation systems / BAS

  • The preferred applicant will have previous experience working as construction manager, buildings and ground manager and practical knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, building codes and utilities equipment installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • 3+ yr. Project Management experience is desirable.

  • Good knowledge of the following software: MS Excel, MS Power Point, Visio and AutoCAD (or equivalent).

  • Previous HAZMAT experience, preferred.

  • Previous GMP experience, preferred

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and customer service skills; works well with others and communicates effectively with all associates.

  • Must be able to make sound decisions, prioritize work, and direct team members in a busy production environment.

  • Ability to lead, develop, direct, and hold others accountable to HARIBO’s high standards. 

  • Ability to train others and coach to compliance.
