Froedtert South has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant to join Stephen Laga, M.D. The ideal candidate will provide inpatient management and have an outpatient practice in our growing cardiothoracic surgery program. There will not be any surgery component to this role.
The Physician Assistant will direct patient care in the hospital and clinic setting, handle all aspects of treatment plans, review and evaluate test results and complete medical documentation under the supervision of Dr. Laga.
The Physician Assistant will have on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis, which will include responding to inpatient and outpatient inquiries and responding to the hospital to attend to inpatients. There will be no overnight call. When on-call, there will always be support from a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Masters in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
Training: Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
Certification: National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
License: Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Wisconsin
Experience: Three years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
