Micro Paradox Sticking Lead in Pleasant Grove, California
Micro Paradox is seeking a Sticking Lead. The Sticking Lead is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of plants from our tissue culture lab to sticking and to our greenhouses. The Leads daily responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders to ensure they receive high quality plants, and that plants coming out of sticking are treated, planted, and otherwise maintained in compliance with production protocols, as well as themselves performing plant multiplication and root induction to help meet team targets.
The ideal candidate for this role is familiar with plant growth and development, is comfortable leading a small team and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, has a positive attitude, and is able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Micro Paradox is a tissue culture and micropropagation laboratory that provides clean nursery stock and young plants to commercial nurseries in the United States and abroad. Plants produced by Micro Paradox are disease-free, uniform, and true-to-type. We also provide related tissue culture services such as germplasm maintenance, virus eradication, embryo rescue, and other custom projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with supervisors to determine what and when crops must be sent for sticking
- Keep the team aware of what crops are awaiting sticking and when they will need to be moved to greenhouses by maintaining regular communication with other area managers and leads
- Coordinate the movement of plants to the greenhouse, ensuring they are sent to the correction growing areas
- Provide instructions on production steps to sticking teams, verifying that instructions are followed
- Stage the next day of sticking materials at the end of their shift
- Routinely handle and manipulate small, delicate plants
- Meet production targets for assigned crops
- Accurately follow production procedures, including but not limited to plant handling procedures, completing required forms, and accurately reporting production data
- Correctly use, sterilize, and follow use protocols for production tools
- Keep work area organized and clean
- Adhere to established safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and manager
- Related duties as assigned
Key Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- 3+ years of work experience
- Fluent in both written and spoken English; fluency in Punjabi a plus
- Familiar with computers, and able to perform data entry and answer emails
- Able to perform basic arithmetic
- Able to perform repetitive hands-on work for extended periods of time
- Able to follow training and instructions
- Able to carry out routine work with minimal supervision
- Able to work with hands, stand, walk, sit, stoop, and bend for extended hours
- Able to climb on ladders as needed
- Able to lift 30 lbs
