Michelin Process Engineer in Plattsburgh, New York

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer who be responsible for leading and handling optimization of their designated manufacturing process within our facility. Ensure product and process quality by monitoring performance/testing, performing diagnostic tests, establishing standards, and conforming consistency to the standards. Apply hands on technical solving skills to existing processes with quality problems. Lead application of root cause analysis in problem solving/deviation from standards. Follow up on process capability take part in ensuring permanent improvements are made. Mentor production operators and other team members to improve application of manufacturing standards and reaction in the event of deviation. Additional for Senior Level:

Drive progress towards process optimization by analyzing performance data then developing and deploying engineering solutions and new testing methods. Provide mentorship and support to the teams through quality expertise, leading and facilitating the new product industrializations, and quality impact of changes. Participate in Product Quality Planning (impact analysis, preliminary capability, FMEA, Quality Plan, training needs). Meet the quality and productivity performances defined by the shop using Right the first time principles. Take part in project planning for changes to products, materials, processes and methods. WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Experience in industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, project or related technical experience is a plus. Ability to interact in a professional manner with supplies, customers, and colleagues. Demonstrated attention to detail and data accuracy in previous work. Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective. Effective problem solving skills to analyze, find the root cause, and implement solutions to eliminate/reduce the risk of the problem happening again. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (work, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems. Additional for Senior Level:

3-5 years of experience in engineering, production management, quality, or process improvement in a manufacturing environment is required. B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science Engineering or other technical degree is preferred. Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements in preferred.
