The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Health System and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine invite applications for a full-time Staff Physician . Our Health System is the largest academic center in South Florida, with a rapidly expanding footprint. The applicant would join seven Nuclear Medicine Physicians who practice across multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial (a primary, and tertiary care County hospital) , UHealth Tower (a private multi-subspecialty hospital), and the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics including the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center ( the only South Florida NCI - designated Cancer Center ). The primary sites of coverage would be in west and northern Miami Dade County as well as in Broward County.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services, nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, and radiopharmaceutical therapies including Theranostics .

  • Able to serve on Departmental committees as requested by the Chair of Radiology. Attending departmental meetings and voicing concerns or providing suggestions for process improvement.

    The University of Miami Hospital and Clinics, The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and associated satellite UHealth facilities are high volume clinical services providing the entire spectrum of nuclear medicine studies in diagnostic and molecular imaging, and radiopharmaceutical therapies including Theranostics . Resources include state-of-the-art PET/CT, SPECT/ CT and gamma camera equipment, with associated computer hardware and software for dedicated nuclear medicine post-processing and advanced image analysis. Newer additions include capabilities for Artificial Intelligence integration into the workflow.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Certification, Licensing, and Professional Experience Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a diagnostic radiology residency and a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine .

  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified of board eligible.

  • American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) certified or board eligible.

  • Both junior faculty as well as more senior candidates with an academic record commensurate with experience will be considered.

  • M.D. or D.O., or foreign equivalent medical degree with full medical licensure eligibility in the State of Florida.

  • Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific presentation and/or
