Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

Preparation of Solutions: Accurately mix and prepare solutions for research and development testing. This involves handling a variety of chemicals, including chloride salts, sodium salts, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and other commonly used chemicals. Analytical Measurements: Perform pH and conductivity readings on various samples, ensuring precise and accurate data collection. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain laboratory equipment such as vials, tubes, and other instruments, ensuring all tools are properly sterilized and ready for use. Sample Documentation: Thoroughly document all samples, maintaining detailed and organized records for future reference. Membrane Documentation: Photograph and document membranes, ensuring high-quality images and detailed records are kept. Inventory Management: Manage the procurement process for laboratory supplies by processing weekly purchase orders, ensuring the lab is well-stocked and all necessary materials are available. Performing routine laboratory functions to support scientific experiments and investigations. Setting up, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment and apparatus such as titrators, pH meters, and centrifuges. Recording, analysing, and writing reports, reviews, and summaries on the findings of experiments and trials. Collecting and preparing samples, solutions, cultures, and specimens and ensuring safe disposal of waste. Enforcing strict health and safety regulations. Staying up to date with relevant scientific developments that can improve the efficiency of lab operations.

This is a fully on-site position in Plant City, Florida.

Work Environment

M-F 8 hour shifts working in a laboratory doing lab assistant / technician responsibilities to support the chemist on site.
