JPMorgan Chase Wholesale Credit Risk Regulatory Management - Vice President in Plano, Texas

As a Vice President within the Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) Regulatory Management Team, you will advise, strategize and manage regulatory requests to ensure clear, concise, timely and accurate responses. Our team oversees, manages and provides support across wholesale credit risk lines of business on Regulatory exams and external audits. In this position, you will partner closely with wholesale credit risk lines of businesses (LOBs) including Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Asset & Wealth Management and functional areas supporting these LOBs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gain a holistic understanding of the wholesale credit risk organization and how it aligns with and influences your delivery to the regulators.

  • Provide support and collaborate across wholesale credit risk lines of business and functional teams supporting these LOBs on Regulatory exams and audits.

  • Use credit skills and knowledge to provide independent challenge to credit risk team responses including rationale for risk ratings, explanation of credit strategy, and description of process questions

  • Advise credit teams and strategize on how to best present the credit rationale or credit process

  • Prepare leadership for meetings with Regulators or Auditors

  • Ensure completeness, clarity and consistency of responses and review for appropriate tone and message

  • Manage and coordinate responses to regulatory questions through your partnerships and relationships with credit risk subject matter experts

  • Identify exam and audit issues and escalate as needed

  • Use your knowledge to suggest improvements in credit risk procedures and regulatory interactions through the development of lessons learned after Exams and Audits

  • Analyze data to visually summarize key credit characteristics, relationships, and regulatory insights

  • Mentor junior team members and participate in various credit risk projects

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in wholesale credit risk along with policy, compliance, regulatory management or governance experience

  • Ability to understand and apply credit risk concepts

  • Appreciate the value of working in partnership with others to influence change and accomplish our goals

  • Use your knowledge to find answers to pressing problems and create workable solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ensure transparency within and across your team

  • Ability to handle many different tasks and demonstrate a willingness to take on responsibilities that may fall outside your immediate area of expertise

  • Work independently and demonstrate leadership skills

  • Thrive when challenged to think thoughtfully and analytically so you can formulate solutions, present them to senior leadership and work to implement them accordingly

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have experience using SharePoint and Data visualization tools
