We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant for our client based in Plano, Texas. The individual will be assigned a variety of accounting roles, such as managing accounts payable while effectively being a backup for the senior accountant. from preparing journal entries, managing accounts payable processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Management and processing of accounts payable

• Preparation and approval of journal entries

• Execution of fixed asset accounting

• Conducting inventory accounting

• Execution of accounts receivable

• Ensuring accounting entries are within GAAP and CAS compliance

• Maintenance of all records as required and support for all audits

• Performing account reconciliations

• Execution of payroll reconciliations in collaboration with HR Payroll personnel

• Management of sales/use tax

• Driving continual process improvements and system optimization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Demonstrated proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Solid understanding and expertise in handling General Ledger.

• Experience in making accurate Journal Entries.

• Proven ability to manage Month End Close procedures.

• Demonstrated experience with NetSuite.

• Proficiency in Oracle software.

• Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks.

• Familiarity with SAP for financial management.

• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial analysis tasks.
