Registered Respiratory Therapist – PRN - Rotating Schedule

We’re looking for qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Rd. Plano TX 75093

Work hours: PRN | As needed | Rotating Schedule

Here’s What You Need

  • Other Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required

  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

  • 1 Year Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred

  • RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required and

  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required and

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 Days required and

  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required if working in the NICU 90 Days required

  • Good verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience

What You Will Do

  • Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.

  • Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.

  • Applies appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.

  • Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age-specific needs.

  • Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.

  • Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
