Hiring Plumber for busy manufacturing facility in Plano, TX

$30-$40/hr depending on experience

Journeyman or high level apprentice license required

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to install, repair, and maintain piping systems and plumbing fixtures.

• The ideal candidate will inspect connections for leaks, replace defective pipes, and perform other plumbing-related duties.

• This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain piping systems and plumbing fixtures.

• Inspect connections and other parts for leaks; replace defective pipes and solder or caulk leaks and broken pipes.

• Cut, bend, and thread pipe; fit valves and couplings to pipe sections by screwing, bolting, or soldering.

• Install plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, emergency eye-washes, and special laboratory equipment.

• Repair autoclaves and other sterilizing equipment, hot water units, and gas heaters; check for safe operation.

• Assist in estimating and maintain required time and material records for each job.

• Utilize PPE and protect job sites from sewer line discharge/spillage.

• Perform other duties as assigned including replacement, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems, electrical systems, and control systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with installation and repair of plumbing systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience with preventive maintenance

Work Environment

• You will be working Monday-Friday from 6am-6pm most days.

• Weekend shifts or 2nd shift options are available if preferred.

Job Type & Location

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
