The Cigna Group Healthcare Product Owner in Plano, Texas

We are hiring a Product Owner with at least 5 years of experience working with Medical Code Sets.

  • Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Data Management Strategy & Governance assignments/projects.

  • Contributes to data governance and applies seasoned knowledge to ensure data quality.

  • Contributes to data oversight, data usage, system analysis and data retention to assure data quality standards.

  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure data consistency and quality throughout the organization.

  • Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders.

  • Focuses on providing thought leadership within Data Management Strategy & Governance but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.

  • Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

  • Work with the delivery team to assist Product Owner(s) with establishing the data governance/reference data platform and JIRA management.

  • Work with the testing team to assist in use cases and help with data validations.

  • Work with stakeholder(s) to assist Product Owner(s) with establishing the process to support data governance/reference data functionalities.

  • Update software tool with the required reference data as needed

  • Maintain relationships with operational/implementation stakeholders

Preferred Background:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience (5+ years working experience) with Medical Code Sets (i.e. CPT, HCPCS, ICD) and their usage throughout the industry

  • Proven ability to analyze data and make decisions based on the information gathered.

  • Proven ability to translate business data issues into solutions to meet multiple business needs

  • Proven ability to understand and represent business needs in requirements, track and resolve progress and issues, provide timely updates and escalations.

  • Experience with Collibra data governance products, Healthcare Industry data and/or data governance regulations and controls is a plus.

  • Ability to plan and prioritize own work effectively to achieve end results

  • Excellent oral, written & presentation communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to accept ambiguity, open to new ideas; willing to test and fail; and attempt new processes.

  • Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Center desired.

  • Agile Experience a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with a positive attitude for team goals.

  • Ability to deal with multiple time zones.

  • Proactive flexible attitude, willingness to learn new skills; ability to accept ambiguity

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and process management skills

  • Excellent decision-making abilities.

Tooling : Excel, Jira, Collibra, SharePoint, Confluence Beyond Compare, Python

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
