JPMorgan Chase Global Supplier Services - Category Manager - Loan Services and Consumer Operations in Plano, Texas

As the Global Supplier Services, Category Manager role will report to a Global Sourcing Category Team Lead and is responsible for leading the development of long term category sourcing strategy plans, along with the sourcing, contracting and execution for third party supplier spend across JPMC Lines of Business.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of category management strategies for significant sourcing transactions by negotiating and managing Supplier agreements, and performing due diligence that protect JPMC's interests.

  • Requires in depth knowledge of JPMC contractual standards and processes

  • Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers and develop and present sourcing options that meet JPMC's business requirements and leads the negotiations to establish commercial terms and lead the contract development process from creation to execution

  • Ensures 3 rd party vendor relationships and channel compliance are consistent with Global Supplier Services strategic priorities and leads the development and execution of strategies for significant sourcing transactions

  • Ensure all the selected suppliers are compliant with SLA's (Service Level Agreements) through collaboration with our internal partners and client teams

  • Lead the category and supplier spend management activities with your respective spend areas and suppliers that spans multiple lines of business

  • Carry out administrative responsibilities effectively in managing multiple projects and contracting activities

  • Develops working relationships with senior executives in the individual lines of business and cross functional roles, understanding their business drivers and their requirements for engaging third parties

  • Responsible for and maintains compliance with Legal, Cyber, Regulatory and Sourcing policy and procedural guidelines and partners with regional teams as required

  • Partners closely with internal JPMC legal, risk , compliance, finance and other Global Supplier Services' teams toward the successful completion of complex negotiations and supplier management

Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 7+ years' experience Category Sourcing managing spend categories (tech or non-tech)

  • Extensive Sourcing process and Contracting knowledge

  • Ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and good judgment

  • Ability to lead and influence execute level stakeholders while being able to create executive level documentation

  • Strong understanding and proven experience in executing and amending complex legal Master Agreements, Schedules/SOWs, and Service levels

  • Thought Leadership: determination to drive breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement; sets a personal example

  • Market Research: ability to conduct market/industry/supplier analysis and synthesize data into a consumable format

  • Commercial skill/strategic negotiation ability

  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Category Sourcing managing categories related to Loan Services, Contact Center, BPO, Debt Collection or other related areas

  • Technology Acumen: advanced proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, well as experience in Ariba
