Job Title: Equipment Technician (1st Shift), $30/hr+ depending on experience
Job Description
We are seeking an Equipment Technician with strong electrical and mechanical experience to join our team. You will work on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the potential for overtime and some Saturdays. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT), you will maintain and repair electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic production line equipment.
Responsibilities
Work from schematics, drawings, charts, manuals, flow charts, verbal and written instructions.
Use various hand and power tools; testing equipment such as RPM meters, frequency meters and watt meters, oscilloscope, multi-meter, and bridges or other designed testers to determine problems and necessary repairs.
Perform installation of new, replaced, repaired, or modified equipment at proper stations of production lines under supervisory direction or with assistance of other departmental personnel. Perform test runs to ensure equipment is in proper running condition.
Review work orders concerning malfunctioning equipment considering priority of maintaining production schedules with minimum downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or electronic circuitry, addressing issues with motors, circuit breakers, relays, switches, registers, adders, counters, encoder, decoders, lamps, sensors, fuses, and other similar equipment parts or units.
Repair and/or replace malfunctioning parts such as gears, pulleys, cams, chains, sprockets, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic devices, vacuum pumps, air valves and cylinders, regulators, chucks, drive motors, heaters, or other such equipment parts.
Check for air/liquid leaks in lines, hydraulic deionization, and particle filters; repair or replace as required.
Handle routine servicing functions, including cleaning and waxing mold bars, lubricating chains, motors, and sprockets, changing oil, cleaning and servicing TIC baths, replacing stations and hand cappers, replacing rollers, conveyor belts, gas bottles; adjusting gas regulators and performing other preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
Ability to follow highly complex directions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Above average computer skills; Excel and database entry.
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or minimum two-year related work experience.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Familiarity with troubleshooting using a digital voltmeter.
Experience with both low voltage (0-24 VDC) and high voltage (120-480 VAC).
Pneumatic controls experience is a plus.
Experience troubleshooting digital and analog inputs/outputs is a plus.
Experience with CMMS is a plus.

Work Environment
You will work in a Class 1,000 cleanroom environment. This role requires the ability to sit or stand for 12 hours at a time and work comfortably around chemicals. You may be required to wear a cleanroom smock and proper safety equipment, including a hairnet, eye protection, face mask, and gloves (nitrile or vinyl). The work environment is a cleanroom semiconductor environment, electronic manufacturing, and climate-controlled.
